#WeNeedBlackTeachers Campaign takes Bronze at Second Annual Anthem Awards

We're elated to share that our #WeNeedBlackTeachers movement was selected as a Bronze winner in the 2nd Annual @AnthemAwards! The Anthem Awards celebrate purpose and mission-driven work.

The Center won in the Social Media Content, Campaign or Channel category for Education, Art & Culture for nonprofit awareness and media.

Criteria for the award included social media accounts or content made by or on behalf of an organization that aims to raise awareness for an Education, Art & Culture Cause and can include social media accounts, social media series, annual campaigns, or content.

This effort is focused on encouraging young people to consider teaching as we grow the national #BlackTeacherPipeline. None of this would be possible without youth working for our #FreedomSchoolsLiteracyAcademy who shared their time and insights to contribute a vision for this campaign.
