We can’t rebuild the national Black teacher pipeline alone.
The Center for Black Educator Development is committed to ensuring Black students have teachers who reflect their racial identities, affirm their experiences and enrich their learning.
With your support, we can:
- Create teaching pathways for high school and college students through our Teaching Academy, Freedom Schools Literacy Academy and Future Teachers of Excellence Fellowship.
- Provide professional learning, training and support for educators, designed by Black educators.
- Advocate for local, state and federal interventions that support teacher diversity.
- Power the student-led #WeNeedBlackTeachers campaign and increase the pipeline of future Black teachers.
